L&T Construction, Water & Effluent Treatment IC (Madhya Pradesh)


The Project ISP-PARWATI Phase I & II Micro Lift Irrigation Scheme comprising of supplying of water from Indira Sagar Reservoir and delivering at farmer’s field for 1,00,000 hectare of culturable command area (CCA) which comprises of 268 villages in Sehore and Shajapur Districts of Madhya Pradesh.

Since this Project is vast and located at inaccessible area and combined with stringent project timelines, the project site resorted to an array of digital solutions to ensure timely completion of survey, engineering, procurement, and construction.

The prime task of this large-scale project is to complete the Survey on the highly dense forest location. Hence, for the first time in L&T, this project implemented Helicopter mounted aerial LIDAR survey about 2,000 square kilometers of land.

In order to precisely identify and mark 7500 Kilometers of pipeline LMNOP + (Locate, Measure, Navigate on Phone) was used which eliminated repeated use of manual survey equipment.

Application called Pipe Tracking Solution was used in order precisely trace the various stages of MS pipes right from MS Plate (raw material), Rolling of Shell, Jointing of Shell, Painting, Testing etc.. till laying of pipes

The design of structures was done using Building information modelling (BIM). The Project utilized GIS progress monitoring for mapping the pipeline network with the geographical data. These both solutions are integrated and being monitoring by the management.

This project delivered the daily progress report through the solution called E-Pragati and beneficial for mapping Productivity trend analysis.

The Safety of the Project have been monitored by the Solution called View EHS. It is used for easy monitoring of critical activities and identification of hazards and risks.

The Quality of the Project has been monitored by Project Quality Index, Quality Incident reporting and Vendor Performance Rating etc.,

All the plant and machinery were fitted with IOTs to track the utilization and the fuel consumption. The solution called Workforce Induction and Skills Availability (WISA) is benefited for the Digitize Workmen Induction thereby saving time and cost.

The management review of progress was done through smart glass and the same was utilized for virtual factory inspection also.
